About the Workshop

The global transport industry is increasingly data rich. Despite this, the application of big data techniques to the sector is still in its infancy, with many providers still struggling to understand their data assets and how they can be leveraged to support their operational and business objectives.

Aims of the Workshop

Building on the success of in-person workshops held at IEEE BigData between 2017 – 2019, virtual events held in 2020 and 2021, and the in-person events from 2022 – 2024, the session will bring together researchers and industry practitioners from the USA, Europe, and worldwide to discuss the current state-of-the-art in the field, to identify best practice that can be shared across transport modes, and to prioritise topics for research and development in the sector going forwards.
